What's Happening in gym class?
This month, the classes are learning about tennis and golf. The students are learning the history of these sports, learning how to play them, as well as learning how to teach them. I hope that the students will enjoy this month and learning about these new sports if they have never been introduced to them!! We will also continue working on our physical health by running 2 miles this month. We have seen improvement from many students this month and we hope to continue the success through the rest of the school year!
Grades
Of course as you know, we are winding down the school year, so it is important to be checking up on your grades! If you have make up work for classes, students will be given 30 minutes during P.E. to finish those assignments. I must have written or emailed proof from a teacher that you are in need of this time to help your grades. this is not an opportunity to skip out on P.E. everyday. This is an opportunity for you to fix what should have already fixed, and to keep you from failing any classes.
Sports?
We love sports here in the South, so we like to keep you up to date as to what's going on.
Basketball tryouts will be May 8-12. 3:15-5.
Track meet will be on May 6.
Spring training for football will May 15-26.
Softball is going to the playoffs! Make sure to cheer them on!
